Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just received my blood work results and it shows my Thyroglobulin results elevated from my last test 4 months ago... from 19kIU/L to 96. My TSH levels have come down from 17.12 to 7.61. Also, I had a full thyroid gland removal because a tumor was detected. Is there anything I should be aware of?
Hello dear Understand your concern. Yes you should consult the your surgeon immediately.
Increased in thyroglobulin suggests recurrence of cancer or metastasis. TSH is decreased suggest some hyperactivity of thyroid may be due to cancer only.
Consult the doctor and do necessary tests like : Full thyroid profile, USG, Biopsy And treatment depend on results and diagnosis.
Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
